Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Associate Risk Advisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of insurance products and services, demonstrate exceptional customer service skills, and have a passion for helping clients protect their assets and achieve their financial goals. As an Associate Risk Advisor, you will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with clients, being fully present in the community, identifying insurance needs, and providing tailored solutions.

Compensation:

$45,000 - $50,000 yearly

Responsibilities:
  • Concentration on Personal Lines (Home, Auto, and Umbrella) and Small Commercial Lines (BOP and small package) clients/prospects
  • In this sales role, active prospecting is essential for success. This involves identifying and reaching out to potential clients, building relationships, and effectively communicating the value of our products and services. By consistently engaging with prospects, we can expand the client base, uncover new opportunities, and drive revenue growth for the agency.
  • Develop and maintain a strong client base through networking, referrals, and marketing efforts.
  • Actively engage with the community through local events, sponsorships, association events, and outreach programs to build connections and foster relationships. Serve as the agency's Community Engagement Team Lead for the local office.
  • Perform comprehensive needs assessments to evaluate client requirements and suggest suitable insurance coverage options.
  • Prepare and present insurance proposals to prospective clients, explaining policy features, coverage limits, and pricing.
  • Maximize the agency's service team for policy renewals, modifications, claims, and other inquiries to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends, regulations, and changes in insurance products to provide informed guidance.
  • Collaborate with underwriters and other professionals to facilitate the approval of coverage applications.
  • Meet and exceed sales targets and performance goals set by the agency.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development activities to enhance knowledge and skills.
  • Consider our office your launchpad: during your in-office hours, you'll engage with teammates, mentors, and access shared resources that enhance learning and drive results. You can then take that momentum into the field for drop-ins, networking, and events. Since this role relies heavily on face-to-face collaboration, fully remote arrangements are not available
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in business, finance, or a related field is preferred.
  • Valid Property & Casualty insurance license in Ohio.
  • Previous experience in insurance sales or customer service is a plus, but not required.
  • Completion of the agency’s Commercial & Personal Lines 100 Level courses is mandatory. However, this requirement may be waived for individuals with prior insurance experience and who pass acceptable agency assessments.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in using technology and the agency’s CRM.
  • Self-motivated with a strong desire to succeed and a result-driven attitude.
