Job Description

Conflicts Attorney

As one of the nation's largest legal staffing providers, Hire Counsel has an immediate opportunity for experienced Conflicts Attorneys to work remotely with a top law firm on a 6 month term.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Conduct thorough conflict checks using firm systems (e.g., Intapp, Elite, Aderant).
  • Analyze conflict reports and identify potential ethical and business conflicts.
  • Prepare concise and accurate conflict summaries for internal clearance.
  • Advise attorneys on conflict issues and appropriate resolution strategies.
  • Coordinate the drafting and execution of conflict waivers when needed.
  • Review new matter requests and client/matter entries for accuracy and compliance.
  • Assist with lateral attorney onboarding conflicts reviews.
  • Support risk and compliance initiatives related to firm policy and professional conduct.
  • Maintain and update documentation related to conflicts clearance processes.

Project Details:

  • Anticipated start date: as soon as possible
  • Estimated duration: 6 months
  • Hours: 40 hours per week
  • Location: work from home office
  • Pay rate: $70 - $90 per hour DOE

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years' experience handling all responsibilities listed above
  • Licensed to practice in at least 1 US jurisdiction
  • JD from a US accredited law school
  • Reliable, highspeed internet access, dedicated office space & either a PC with Windows 10 or higher or a MAC with Mojave 10.14 or higher
  • No concurrent document review permitted while working with Hire Counsel
