Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Executive Omakase/Sushi Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food handling and meal preparation, with a focus on creating high-quality sushi dishes. The Sushi Chef will be responsible for menu planning, ensuring the freshness of ingredients, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment. This role requires creativity, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences.

Duties

• Prepare a variety of sushi dishes according to traditional recipes and presentation standards.
• Ensure all food handling and safety protocols are strictly followed.
• Collaborate with the kitchen team to develop and refine menu offerings.
• Maintain inventory of sushi ingredients, ensuring freshness and quality.
• Assist in meal preparation for other menu items as needed.
• Keep the kitchen area clean and organized, adhering to health and safety regulations.
• Provide training and guidance to junior kitchen staff on sushi preparation techniques.
• Stay updated on current food trends to enhance menu offerings.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in food service, particularly in the preparation of sushi or similar cuisines.
• Strong knowledge of food handling practices and kitchen safety protocols.
• Experience in menu planning and dietary considerations is preferred.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
• A creative approach to meal preparation with an eye for presentation.
• Previous experience in a restaurant or culinary setting is highly desirable.

Pay: $75,000.00/Year

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
