Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a motivated and reliable Barback and Food Runner to join our team. This dual-role position is essential to maintaining smooth operations in both the bar and food service areas. The ideal candidate will have strong multitasking abilities, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to providing exceptional service.


Key Responsibilities:

Stocking and Preparation:

  • Prepare and stock necessary items for food orders, including plates, utensils, condiments, and napkins.
  • Ensure that all food and drink stations are fully stocked throughout service hours.
  • Maintain inventory levels by restocking as needed and reporting any shortages.

Delivering Food Orders:

  • Transport food orders from the kitchen to the designated bar area promptly and efficiently.
  • Ensure that food is delivered in a timely manner and that all orders are complete and correct.

Assisting Bartenders and Servers:

  • Assist bartenders with stocking liquor, beer, and other supplies.
  • Support servers by delivering food orders to guests, clearing tables, and resetting as needed.
  • Aid in the opening and closing duties of the bar.

Cleaning and Maintenance:

  • Remove dirty dishes and utensils from bar area and transport them to the kitchen for cleaning.
  • Empty garbage and recycling bins and ensure the bar and dining areas are clean and tidy.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of storage areas.

Team Collaboration:

  • Work closely with kitchen staff, bartenders, and servers to ensure seamless service and a positive guest experience.
  • Communicate effectively with team members to address any issues or special requests promptly.


Qualifications:

  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure with poise.
  • Flexibility to work mornings, afternoons, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Capability to lift and carry heavy items up to 50 pounds.
