Job Description

Beacon Hill's client, a local natural gas distribution company, is seeking a paralegal to support their in-house team.

• Title: Legal Specialist (Paralegal)
• Location: Hybrid - In-office Tuesday through Thursday (Portland, OR 97204)
• Duration: 12 months (May 6, 2025 - May 5, 2026)
• Hours: Full-time
• Hourly pay: $35-$48/hour, depending on experience

Qualifications & Key Responsibilities:

• Ideal candidates will have paralegal experience in both corporate and litigation work
• Litigation support experience, including coordination with outside counsel, document review, and case management
• Discovery experience, including collecting, organizing, and producing documents in response to subpoenas and discovery requests
• Experience with business licenses, corporate organization, foreign qualifications, and similar corporate filings
• Experience managing due diligence and regulatory filings
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; excellent writing and proofreading abilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and SharePoint
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new subject matter areas
• Experience working both independently and as part of a small team
• Ability to maintain effective relationships across departments and with external legal teams
