Location: Atlanta, GA

Duration: 6 Month Contract to Hire

Work Schedule: Local candidates only within driving distance. The role is on-site in midtown Atlanta, 4 days, Monday – Thursday. Fridays are remote.

Position Overview

An experienced Scheduler is needed to support capital projects in the Atlanta area. This position plays a key role in the planning and coordination of project timelines and deliverables, with an emphasis on schedule development, analysis, and progress tracking using Primavera P6.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain both summary and detailed project schedules using Primavera P6.
  • Create activity lists covering design, procurement, construction, and post-construction phases by reviewing design documents, conducting site assessments, and consulting with stakeholders.
  • Identify key milestones, critical approvals, and long-lead items to ensure alignment with project goals.
  • Establish logical activity sequencing and scheduling constraints in coordination with project teams.
  • Estimate realistic durations based on resource availability, production rates, and manpower planning.
  • Assign resources (labor, material, and cost) to activities to support cost loading and resource analysis.
  • Generate cash flow projections and resource histograms.
  • Evaluate critical and near-critical paths and monitor progress through site visits and status reports.
  • Track changes and trends in the schedule, propose mitigation strategies, and develop recovery plans as needed.
  • Review and analyze schedules submitted by architects, engineers, and contractors.
  • Prepare as-built schedules and document project insights and lessons learned at completion.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on scheduling experience on capital projects.
  • Proficient in Primavera P6 .
  • Strong understanding of project lifecycle phases and construction practices.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working on capital projects within the Energy sector .
