HOW A SYSTEMS TECHNICIAN III WILL MAKE AN IMPACT **Provides installation, maintenance and troubleshooting support of information systems applications** **and related peripheral hardware.** **Mo** **nitors and responds to hardware and software problems utilizing a variety of hardware and software testing tools and techniques.** **Installs and configures applications software and related hardware (such as desktops, servers, and related peripherals like printers, scanners, hard drives, monitors and video teleconferencing hardware).** **Provides software and system troubleshooting and support.** **Provides technical support and training to end-users** **Provide guidance, work related leadership and mentoring to less-experienced technicians** **Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned (desktop support)** **Participates in special projects as required** **WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:** **Associates Degree and 3+ years of directly related experience; or in lieu of degree, 5 yrs of related experience and High School diploma is required.** **Strong written and oral communication** **Excellent customer service skills are required** **Experience with Microsoft Windows Workstation, operating systems, and common applications (e.g. Microsoft Office, Office 365)** **Experience with desktop** **/laptop and application support** **S** **upport for handheld devices ( iOS and Android)** **Solid understanding of basic networking principles** **Candidate must be willing to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance** **US Citizenship required** **Location: On site** GDIT IS YOUR PLACE: ● Full-flex work week to own your priorities at work and at home ● 401K with company match ● Comprehensive health and wellness packages ● Internal mobility team dedicated to helping you own your career ● Professional growth opportunities including paid education and certifications ● Cutting-edge technology you can learn from ● Rest and recharge with paid vacation and holidays The likely hourly rate for this position is between $23.66 - $31.51. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
